1. I saw on your PSN website that you do one-on-one private coaching; should I wait to do this after I've completed my CPC certification?  Answer: No, you need to do the coaching before to put you on a fast track. This helps you to move quickly along in the certification process. Then as you follow-up by attending the PSN morning sessions to learn and develop your speaking and training business. This is why membership is important. PSN morning program is developmental. Becoming a professional speaker is a process and there is much to learn. Just having great speaking skills is no guarantee that you can start making money right away. You must develop in many areas. PSN helps you do just that.
2. How many workshops/sessions do I have to attend or what are the full requirements of obtaining my CPC certification? Answer: You MUST attend all PSN morning sessions that are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month (we have been having this program for the last 15 years). The morning sessions are from 9:15 to 12 Noon. You must also attend 4 other afternoon training sessions that are held immediately after the morning sessions (after a short 30 minute, lunch on your own break).  The afternoon sessions are 4 1/2 hours and more information is posted on this site under "Contact Us."  There is an application form that lists all of the other CPC requirements, and fee for the certification, (Cerified Professional Speaker).  Once you have completed the certification process, there is a graduation ceremony and awards dinner held each year in April and September. 3. Have you set a date for your "Speak for Success" full day of training? I want to invest in it and need to start saving my pennies for it, but wanted to know if you had an approximate date and time for it.     Answer: Speak for Success is just one of the workshop requirements for CPC certification and is held twice a year prior to the graduations. To find out the dates, time, and location for Speak for Success,  just click on "Contact Us" and then click on the drop down menu "Resources, Products, Services" scroll down to Registration Form. There are also other required workshops for CPC Cerification, "How to Speak Locally and Get PAID", and "HOT Tips on Public Speaking." All of these programs are taught by certified speakers and Dr. M. Tina Dupree, Founder of Professional Speakers Network, Inc. (PSN).
   
4. The "Afternoon Sessions" that will take place immediately following the morning PSN program; what type of content will be taught/learned in this format? I'm asking because the cost of the program is significantly higher than the morning program.   Answer: The afternoon programs are more detailed 4 1/2 hour sessions and focus on one particular area of professional speaking. One example is How to Speak Locally and Get PAID. In this session you not only learn how to get booked as a speaker but also you are given a detailed Six Month Marketing Plan, who is hiring speakers, etc..
5. How do I become a member of PSN? Answer: Join! $75 one year membership, members renewal $60 for one year.It's that easy. In other speaker organizations, you must have experience or proof that you have been speaking professionally. However, with PSN, we have no requirements for you to join . We train you in all of the areas necessary to become a highly sought after paid professional speaker.We take everyday ordinary people and make them SUPER STARS. The proof is in the success of our membership. We have trained and certified more than 150 professional speakers, 75 have written and published their own books, several have started their own speaking and training business, others are speaking part-time, one produced a movie, another wrote a screen play that is playing nationwide. We help you achieve your goals and live your dreams.

So keep your question directed to one specific area of speaking. Some questions require detailed answers, Dr. Dupree will only answer with the basics and will suggest that you either attend a workshop or purchase a product which will give you more detailed answers to your questions. After almost 20 years as a professional speaker, Dr. Dupree has probably been asked the same questions over and over again, therefore, the answer she will provide you with is based on her knowledge, experience, and expertise in the speaking business.
